To young to join?
You are never too old for Scouting.

Bring a friend and share the fun.

All good things come to those who wait.
If you are under six years of age, you are too young to join The Scout Movement. Due to the popularity of Scouting, some Scout Groups have to operate waiting lists and it is helpful for the child to add their name early. To add a childs' name to a waiting list, please send an email to dc@epsomandewellscouts.org.uk containing the childs name, date of birth, your telephone number and address. This will then be forwarded to your nearest Scout Group where a local representative will contact you to confirm the details. If it takes us a little while to respond, please be patient, we are all volunteers!
Advice

Young children can find new experiences daunting and joining a section can be likened to starting a new school. To ease this situation our trained Leaders do their best to help new members integrate with their section but you can help too! Joining a Beaver Colony or Cub Pack is often made less painful if a friend joins in too. To help ensure the friend is able to start at the same time (subject to age restrictions) it is advisable to add their name to a waiting list at the same time.

By attending the meeting as a supporter to your child or even by lending a hand can also make it easier for the young person to get the most from what we have to offer.

To join, please telephone John Jordan on 01737 350 666. Alternately, send an email to explorers@epsomandewellscouts.org.uk.
