The new District Store is up, complete with roof and the door in the right place now with just a small (!) list of snagging issues to get sorted out. When the building has been signed off we will need to paint the inside, insulate the roof, re-wire and install the racking before we can put all the District equipment back into it. We are hoping the project should be finished by the end of December, if you would like to lend a hand or need more details contact email@example.com
The Firework display at Hook Road Arena on the 9th November was well attended – several of our members were there from the Thursday till the Monday supervising the delivery and collection of two artic loads of fencing along with the scaffolding towers, stage & numerous generators and lighting towers. On site from 8am on the Saturday the team erected all the fencing, erected two Mess Tents and set up the kitchen ready for 1st Ruxley to cater for over 200 meals over the Saturday we also constructed the two entrance gates ready for the paying customers to come through (one of which was organised and manned by the Service Team). After the display we started dismantling the fencing, calling it a day at midnight, we were back there on the Sunday to finish all the tasks left to do. A busy weekend and a big thank you to all who helped!
