Safety Training

We believe that the key to successfully improving safety in Scouting lies in enhancing the culture of safety within our Movement. This applies to those people required to complete ongoing safety training (all those subject to an appointment review). Essentially, this means anyone who holds an appointment except for Scout Active Support Members and Executive Committee Members. This should be completed least every five years and this is monitored at the point of appointment review.

Safeguarding Training

November 20 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

The issues facing adult volunteers in keeping young people safe are changing all the time and it is essential that we provide up-to-date training. It is a requirement for all adults in Scouting to have undertaken ‘approved safeguarding training’ at least every five years and this is monitored at the point of appointment review.
